Being an albino virtually made him an outcast in Jamaican society and as a result, life was very difficult for him. Within a matter of months, he went from social pariah to headlining act on Jamaican stage shows and his popularity rocketed. His records sold well and he toured the USA and UK extensively to ecstatic crowds.
