His bass playing skills emerged in the late 60s, and the bands he graced included Byron Lee's Dragonaires, the Aggrovators and Crystalites to name a few. His song I wanna wake up with you, hit number 1 on the UK charts. His follow-up You're everything to me also went to number 11.

* She scored her first Jamaican number 1 in1968 with the rocksteady hit Feel Like Jumping. Young, Gifted and Black rode high on the UK charts in 1970, and became a hit all over Europe. Pied Piper, a follow-up was another big hit in the UK in 1971. She became one of Bob Marley's I-Threes backing vocalist. Her Electric Boogie with Bunny Wailer was a hit in the USA in 1989, seven years after it was recorded - and even inspired its own dance - The Electric Slide.
