Hot and spicy, KY-AN is just the musical flavour you've been looking for to season your mood. Blending acoustic reggae soul with a twist of world beat, KY-AN debuts as an artiste poised for global success guided by the creative expertise of Jamaican hit making producer Computer Paul Henton for Deja Entertainment/Boot Camp Studio.

KY-AN has spent the past year developing his songwriting and vocal skills under the production tutelage of Computer Paul to produce his unique sound.

Born in Ritchies, Clarendon, this youth rekindles memories of melody and harmony in reggae music and holds promise for a bright future in a market hungry for genuine artistry.

The first offering from the team is "Freedom", a hauntingly refreshing roots track whose lyrics reinforce the inevitability of "Freedom "somehow someway" while the arrangement rocks away the inner ear.

Written by KY-AN along with the producer, "Freedom" was recorded at Boot Camp Recording Studios and features musicians Andrew "Simmo" Simpson on lead guitar, percussionist Lakey "Zamba" Jolly and producer Computer Paul playing on all other instruments. Work continues on the debut album expected in early 2002 with tracks such as "Eyes of a Black Child" and "Rebel" signaling the birth of a new melodic voice echoing the wail of pioneers such as Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff.

The reggae tradition continues to evolve with an irresistible acoustic flavour, courtesy of KY-AN.
