Long term objectives  

(a) to develop a critical awareness of the equal contribution of both men and women to the culture and civilisation of Caribbean countries, thus encouraging the "mainstreaming" of gender , using the modern tools of the media

(b) to increase the career options of the region's young professionals in the field of communication by training in various aspects of broadcast media, particularly video production for television.  

(c) to cultivate the habit amongst the video makers of the region, and particularly women, of working together to produce broadcast quality material for exchange and commercial distribution, leading to a permanent mechanism for co‑production and distribution and the archiving of material.    

Immediate objectives

(a) to create a multi-lingual clearinghouse and archive of productions about and by Caribbean women.  

(b) to undertake (three) workshops for at least 18 women communication practitioners to improve the quality of television scripts, and develop a critical awareness of the value of the women's contribution.  

(c) to undertake the production of three broadcast quality video programmes on heroic Caribbean media women

(d) to put in place an open-ended network for cc-productions, among women producers in the region.
